Helen R. Holderfield, 93, of Moline, passed away July 13, 2025, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday July 18, 2025, Bethany Baptist Church Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church.
Helen was born on January 2, 1932, in Missouri. The daughter of Ervin and Vernie (Bryant) Mizer. She married Barry I. Holderfield on July 23, 1949, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2000. Helen had been employed with Fresh Pak in Moline then later with the John M. Frey Company in Davenport. Helen was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and GWRRA – The Gold Wing Road Riders Association. She loved tending to her flower garden and taking care of her yard. Helen also enjoyed bird watching, especially hummingbirds and cardinals.
Survivors include her children, Belinda “Kay” Strom and Jeffrey W. (Karen) Holderfield; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; sisters, Junie Knuth and Dottie Dickerson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Danny, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and a great granddaughter.
