James E. Holderfield

1949 - 2025

James E. Holderfield, 75, of North Huntingdon, passed away Feb. 17, 2025, at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. He was born on May 16, 1949, in Greensburg, a son of the late Darrell and Evelyn Hubaut Holderfield. Prior to his retirement, Jim was employed as a skilled laborer for both the Elliott Company and Lowes. He enjoyed action movies, bowling, golfing, socializing, and reading the newspaper. A 50-year member of the American Legion and member of the Jeannette VFW, Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Linda Dobies. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pam Haselbarth Holderfield; one son, Casey; and his wife Nicole; four sisters, Joyce Lock, Sally Page, Dolly Sheridan, Betty Marsala; and their spouses. He was Baaba to his two beloved grandchildren, Reese and Aubree. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Lisa Prejza (John); and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Westmoreland Memorial Park.
