Helen Howe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. - Middletown on Oct. 1, 2025.
Helen Ann Howe, a beacon of warmth and care to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, in New York City. Born on August 27, 1940, in the quaint town of Bennington, Vermont, Helen's journey began as the cherished daughter of her late parents, George Perrault Sr. and Helen Gast Perrault in Vermont. Her formative years were spent in the halls of Somers High School, where she cultivated a love for helping others that would define her career and life. Helen's had a fulfilling career as a nursing assistant at the Orange County Home and Infirmary, where her gentle touch and kind words brought comfort to countless individuals in their times of need. Her life was enriched by her beloved husband, Walter F. Howe, who predeceased her. Helen's legacy is carried on through her loving children: Kathleen Morgan (Thomas), Linda Cipolla (Dan), Mary Conklin (Jaci Leonard), Jennifer Maldonado (Ramon), and her son Christopher Howe (Jamie). She was a guiding star in their lives and instilled in them the values of love, resilience, and generosity. Helen's joy was multiplied with the arrival of each grandchild, and she cherished every moment with Donnie, Kevin, Jessica, Amanda, Jason, Heather, Leo, Emily, Maya, and Max. Her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Isabelle, Karter, Jacob, Sage, Ana, Hannah and Elena also held a special place in her heart, as she watched with pride as her family tree flourished. Her brother, Michael Leonard (Mary), will fondly remember Helen for her unwavering support and the countless memories they shared. Her family was her cornerstone, and she nurtured those bonds with every ounce of her being. As we bid farewell to Helen Ann Howe, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and profoundly impactful. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire her family and all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her grace. Helen's journey on earth has ended, but her story will be told for generations to come, a testament to the love and light she brought into this world.
