Helen King Obituary
She was a retired lunch lady for Jefferson County Public Schools, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to all who knew her.
Preceding Helen in death is her husband of 57 years, Leonard "Lee" King; her parents, Charles and Ethel Elker; two brothers, Charles Elker III, and Wayne Elker; and a sister-in-law, Judy.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Rory King (Mary); grandchidlren, Crystal DeMarte (Philip), Nikala Wardrip, Dominic Strumstad (Brittany), and Christian Morales Strumstad (Yuyo); great grandchildren, Alexander, Sullivan, Hudson, Adalynn, Rhett, Kaden, Braylen, and Brycen; a sister, Melva King (Gene); a sister-in-law, Janet; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be 10 AM Saturday, February 14th at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Drive, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 PM, Friday, February 13th at Rattermans.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus.
