Helen C. Lawrence

Helen C. Lawrence, 47, of Wausau, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at home surrounded by family and under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

She was born on December 28, 1977, to Norman and Helen (Kryka) Dieter in Chicago, Illinois. Helen was united in marriage to Brad Lawrence on August 5, 2000, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Rothschild. Helen attended the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and completed her graduate program at Marian University in Fond du Lac, where she graduated with a master’s degree in technology in education. She taught for many years at Fond du Lac High School in the Math Department and helped create the statistics courses. In addition to her love of teaching, Helen enjoyed watching movies and dining out with family and friends. She especially loved her family and her husband, Brad, and the times spent together. They have had five Terriers over the years that Helen loved dearly and were an important part of the family: Wampa (Cairn Terrier), Luck, Tanner, Mary, and Turner (all Norwich Terriers).

Survivors include her husband, Brad; parents, Norman and Helen Dieter; brother, Norman Dieter (Kayla); sister, Michaella Dieter; father and mother-in-law, Michael and Janice Lawrence; and nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The Funeral Liturgy will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, with Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk presiding.
