Sarah Helen Colledge Lindstrom
Helen Lindstrom, a loving wife, daughter, devoted sister, proud Mom and super Grammy, passed away peacefully in her home on November 2, 2025. If we had mom write the remainder of this obituary, it would probably go something like this:
I was born and named Sarah Helen Colledge in Magna Utah, January 27, 1928, to Lee Colledge, an amazing dad who could build or fix anything, and Lenore Jones Colledge, who was the most amazing, patient and talented mom a girl could ask for. I have always gone by Helen and the only time I was called Sarah was by salespeople. I have an older brother, Evan, who I idolize and two big sisters: Opal, who I admire for her determination and bravery, and Letha, whom I have spent my life trying to keep up with. After moving to Salt Lake City, my wonderful little sister Joyce was born when I was seven.
We moved to Lehi when I was thirteen, there I attended high school. I always loved school; I edited the yearbook and was valedictorian of my senior class. I liked all kinds of activities and even though my boys don't believe me, I was on the Lehi High track team.
After high school, I worked at Geneva Steel. At a dance I met a handsome fellow named Paul, who became the love of my life. We got married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 12, 1948. Paul was my dearest friend and companion, until his death in 2005. I am excited to tell him about my experiences over the past twenty years and watch together as our family continues to grow.
Paul and I set up roots in a small home in downtown Pleasant Grove, Utah, where Paul was an Iron worker, and I chased after our growing family. During this time, we had three children: Jeff (Lynne), Larry (Deanne) and Cindy (Greg). After Paul's career changed to heating and air conditioning and we moved to Manila, Grant (Keri), Gordon (Becky) and Craig (Anita) were added to the family. We loved living in Manila and made many wonderful friends over the years.
I am most proud of my awesome family tree including our six children, 39 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren, and even 8 great-great-grandchildren. I have also been blessed to have wonderful friends throughout the years. As some old friends have passed on, I have made amazing new friends that have helped keep me young.
After being blessed with nearly 98 years in this world, I believe that my life could be summed up with the 5 F's:
Family:
I love my family more than anything.
Food:
I've found that fresh cookies and rolls improve any situation.
Flowers:
I love being surrounded by some of Heavenly Father's most beautiful creations; Flowers are the perfect backdrop for late evening talks with the people I love most.
Fun:
Whether it is bowling, playing cards, watching sports or a good road trip, I have always tried to find fun in every part of my life.
Faith:
We must always live by faith that we will be with our loved ones again.
Grammy was a joy to all who knew her and will be missed by those who came to know and love her over the years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 15th at her church located at 105 W 1800 N, Pleasant Grove, Utah. A viewing is scheduled to take place prior to the funeral service, commencing at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery next to her husband John Paul Lindstrom.

Helen´s family, Jeff, Larry, Cindy and all of you who I grew up with and were neighbors growing up, your Mom was such a wonderful woman! I honestly thought she would live to be 100 and almost did, with her positive attitude and always so active! I remember her and her friends walking around the block laughing and chatting the whole way for many years. She and your Dad raised a great family!
