Helen Machia Obituary
After graduating from high school, Helen attended business school. She worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Waco, Texas as a Senior Claims Examiner and Trainer.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Hollis Connell and Inez McPherson Connell; sisters, Gloria Connell and Vicki Bolling.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Bruce C. Machia of Lakeland, FL; children, Christopher W. Machia of Lakeland, FL and Travis C. Machia of Wanaroo, Western Australia; grandchildren, Kylie Machia, Hailey Machia, Trevor Machia of Oviedo, FL, and Bronson Machia of Wanaroo, Western Australia; nephew, John Steveson of St. Petersburg, FL; cousin, B.J. Connell of Lakeland, Florida.
A graveside service will be held at Lakeland Memorial Gardens on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be make to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
