Helen Darlene Markman

HELEN DARLENE MARKMAN, age 88, of Saint Cloud, MN formerly of Worthington, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on January 3, 1937, to Henry and Helen Luitjens. Helen grew up on a farm near Reading, MN. She attended school in Worthington and graduated from Worthington High School.

Helen married Clyde Markman and they had two sons. She helped Clyde with their trucking business and later worked at Fauskee's Nursing Home as head of housekeeping.

She and Clyde attended St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. They were active members for many years. Helen will be remembered for her sense of humor and for her love of music, especially playing the organ and accordion.

Helen is survived by her son, Randy (Brenda) Markman; daughter-in-law, Cindy Markman; grandchildren, Fr. Chris Markman, Sarah Ksepka (Jon), Heidi Brekke (Sean); great-grandchildren, Samuel, Benjamin and Viola Ksepka, Bailey Markman-Blonigen and Riley Brekke; and three brothers, Henry (Ida), Delbert and Dennis (Colleen).

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Clyde; son, Doyle; grandson, Michael; brothers, LeRoy & Cecil; sisters, Esther & Arliss; and close friend, Bill Haken.

Funeral will be at 11:30 am Friday, Nov. 28 at the Dingmann Funeral Home, in Worthington, officiated by Fr. Chris Markman. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
