Helen Marie Coffey McCraw, 91 of Pamplin, VA passed away on October 30, 2024. She was born on April 10, 1933 to the late Clarence W. and Bertha Webb Coffey.
She was active in her church as a Sunday school teacher and secretary to the pastor in Bethlehem Baptist Church. She retired from Reynolds Metals as a shipping clerk. When she moved to Pamplin, she became a faithful member to Spring Creek Baptist Church for many years. She was an excellent cook and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Aaron Wilson, her second husband Thornton Lacks. She is survived by her husband William “Bill” McCraw, 2 sons James Wilson of Australia and Wesley Wilson of Varina, VA, sisters Ruby Woodall of Appomattox, Alice McDonald of Lexington, VA and 4 step sons W.D. Jr, Wayne, Chip, and Ernie McCraw.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 1:00PM in the Spring Creek Baptist Church. Family will receive friends starting at 12:00Noon until time of service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
