Helen Murrain, 87, of Danville passed away, surrounded by her family on November 13, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis on September 4, 1937, daughter of the late James Raymond and Lillian (McCloud) Stevenson. In addition to her parents, Helen is predeceased by her brother, Norman Stevenson.
Helen grew up in Danville, Indiana and was a 1955 graduate from New Winchester School. Later, a mutual friend introduced her to the man whom she’d marry and make beautiful memories with for the next 62 years, Robert E. Murrain. Together they had 3 beautiful children. She had worked in insurance before staying home to raise their family. She loved being a mother and grandmother. In her quiet time, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, planting flowers and pulling weeds, she loved her home in the country.
