Show me my splinter of memories that all add up to a larger grand table which has been made for a feast, not just food, but grand memories and experiences that have added to the joy of life. Ray Brown crafted a beautiful table with his joy, laughter, and steady love. We who have been loved by him are better in every way because of it.

Ray was born on February 22, 1938, to Raymond Sr. and Isabelle Brown of Danville, IN. Raymond retired from Link Belt as an Industrial Engineer after 32 years of good and fair service to that company. He loved fishing, woodworking, gardening, and telling stories of his adventures. Ray loved people, loved being attentive and present to his family and friends, and he loved the Lord. His favorite thing in the whole world was being Papa Ray to his beloved grandchildren. He was a member of the Bridgeport Lodge, and a member of Clayton Christian Church.

Ray met Jesus face-to-face on March 17, 2025. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Sharon. Ray is survived by his son Rob (Aimee) Brown, and his daughter Kelly (Howard) Vaughn. His grandchildren, Amanda (LC) Brown, Jackson (Blayne Stein) Brown, Eli (Emma) Brown, Camden (Allie) Brown, Ahnna Caroline (Lane) Hodges, Asher Brown, Connor Voigt. And great-grandchildren Cassius Brown. Brothers ,Wendell (Joanie) Brown, Tom (Norma) Brown, and David Brown.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4-8 pm at the Helton & Harris Funeral Home, 4712 Pennsylvania St., Clayton, IN 46118. The funeral will be held Friday at 11:30 am., Rev. Gary Black presiding. Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.heltonandharrisfuneralhomes.com.
