Helen O'Rourke Obituary
Born in Hoboken NJ, she resided there and in Union City, NJ until moving to Wall Township 13 years ago.
She held a lifelong career as an executive secretary for the city of Union City for over 40 years.
Helen was a loving sibling and aunt as well as an incredibly kind, generous and loving soul, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her will miss her dearly.
Helen enjoyed cooking and spending time with her sister Eileen where they spent many a weekend together enjoying each other's company, cooking top notch dinners, drinking wine and creating memorable happy hours sharing stories of family.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Elizabeth O'Rourke, brothers Thomas, James and Vincent O'Rourke and sisters Anne Pisano and Eileen Fell.
She is survived by her nephews, Paul Fell (Kelly) of Brick, NJ, Brian Fell (Kathryn) of Wall, NJ, Vincent O'Rourke (Christine) of Stuart, Fl, Thomas O'Rourke (Cheryl) of Weehawken, NJ, James O'Rourke (Carol) of Lyndhurst, NJ, Tony Pisano of Asheville, NC, nieces Jean Guider (Larry) of Jacksonville, NC, Debra Smith (Kenny) of Jacksonville, NC , Kelly Morton (Brian) of Howell, NJ and Kathleen O'Rourke (Jack) of Ocean, NJ, Dennis Bragg of Jacksonville, NC as well as many other great-nieces and great-nephews.
As her last request, cremation was held in a private ceremony and she will be laid to rest with her parents at a later date. A celebration of life will be held in her honor at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Rd, Manasquan, NJ 08736, on Saturday, January 3rd, 2025 from 1-4pm, with a service to begin at 3:30pm.
