Helen Marguerite (Burris) Olthoff, age 83, of Breckenridge, MN, passed away, surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, September 8, 2025, at St. Francis Home, Breckenridge, MN. A private service and burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge.

Helen was born on May 26, 1942, to Wanita and Walter Burris in Fergus Falls, MN. She also spent her years growing up and attending school in Fergus Falls.

On March 18, 1960, she married Donavan Olthoff. They lived on the Olthoff Family Farm by Doran, MN, where Helen was a wonderful farm wife. They made the move to Breckenridge years later where Helen went to work at 3M for 18 years. Over the years she also worked at Econo Foods Bakery and Breckenridge Elementary School, but her favorite job was doing daycare for her grandkids.

Helen was a wonderful cook and baker, she could sew anything without a pattern, and enjoyed making all sorts of crafts. If you were lucky enough to be blessed with any of these items, you felt the love she put into it. Her greatest love was anytime spent with her grandkids, cheering them on at sporting events, and going on her annual trip with her sisters, Karen and Vickie.

Helen is survived by her son, Kevin Olthoff, and his children Peter and Mia, all of Seattle, WA; daughter, Wendy (Rich) Clift, and their children, Alysa (Cory) and Zaxton, of Browns Valley, MN, Katie (Cody) of Mandan, ND, Cody (Daynah), Brynleigh, Oakley, Maveryk, of Breckenridge; siblings, David Burris, Vickie (Fred) Extrand, Jeff (Brenda) Burris, Warren (Lorie) Burris, Karen (Brent) Johnson; many nieces and nephews; her special dog, Pooh; and daughters, Connie, Brenda, and Jody along with several grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wanita and Walter Burris; husband, Don Olthoff in 2001; her special friends, Hank and Hilda Henrichs; brothers, Roger and Mike; and great-granddaughter, Wynter Rose Clift.
