Helen Jane Powers passed away peacefully on the evening of December 21, 2025. Helen Powers was born August 31, 1954 to Mary Ward Outlaw and Winfred Smoot Outlaw. A loving mother and beloved friend, she is survived by her son, Dustin Powers, and her faithful husband, Randy Pitt.

Helen grew up and lived in the greater Nashville area her whole life. As a faithful Christian, she strived her whole life to spread kindness and joy to everyone she interacted with. She was loved deeply by her friends and family; she will be greatly missed.

She was a successful beautician and business owner, running her own salon in Berry Hill for over 30 years, called Clipper and Company. Being a hairdresser was more than a job for Helen, it was her craft and passion in life. She enjoyed the variety of people she was able to connect with, many of them becoming long-term friends.

Outside of her profession and business, she had a special interest in nature and photography. She loved going hiking in the woods and walking a creek, she always believed that being in nature was healing to the soul. Her passion for photography is evident in the numerous photos she took, capturing beautiful scenes and moments around her.

A visitation celebrating Helen’s life will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, on Sunday, January 11th, 2026 at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside, located at 104 Sanders Ferry Rd, Hendersonville, TN 37075. A celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 P.M.
