Helen Sarantis

East Rochester: Helen (Leos) Sarantis, beloved wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away on August 18, 2025. Born in Mari, Greece, Helen was the cherished daughter of the late Angelo and Aneta Leos. She shared her life with her beloved husband, James "Jimmy" Sarantis, who predeceased her, as did her brother, Stelios (Sam) Leos.
Helen is survived by her brother John (Maria) Leos, sister-in-law Pam Leos, and many nieces and nephews whom she raised with love and affection, treating them as her own children. She also leaves behind extended family and friends both in Rochester and in Greece.
Helen adored baking and delighted in sharing her homemade treats with others. Her devotion to family, faith, and Greek traditions defined her life, and her memory will be lovingly carried forward by all who knew her.
Visitation and Funeral Services
Visitation will be from 10-11am with a Funeral Service to follow on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Rochester, 962 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14607. Interment will follow at White Haven Memorial Park. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
