Obituary of Helen Schomburg
Helen Schomburg was born on July 5, 1930 as Helen Frida Lang to Joseph and Elizabeth Lang. She lived in Pearl River for many years and married John Schomburg in 1951 at the Good Shepherd Church. They had two children, Linda (Anthony) and John (Linda). They also had two grandchildren, Lisa Pollock (Juddson) and George McElroy. The family moved to Stony Point in 1962. Helen worked at the school cafeteria while her children were in school and then worked for the Pomona mental health clinic. Helen enjoyed singing at her church, Atonement Lutheran Church, and helping out as the treasurer there for many years. She will be missed by her friends at church, and her closest friends growing up. She would be 94 in July and lived a long, healthy life. She will be truly missed. As her wishes, in lieu of flowers, please make donations in Helen's memory to the American Lung Association or the ASPCA for her love of animals. God bless and thank you.
A memorial mass will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church in Stony Point on Saturday, April 28, 2024 at 1:00pm.
