Publish in a newspaper

On November 24, 2025 Helen Stice, beloved mother, Memaw, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and friend to many, passed away peacefully at the age of 39 (plus 58). Born in 1928 in Valle Mines, Missouri, she was the cherished daughter of Charles and Emma Vincent Cantrell. On November 8, 1952, Helen married the love of her life, Richard D Stice, with whom she shared many years of devotion and family. Together, they built a life filled with love, faith, and resilience. Helen's life was marked by kindness, strength, and an unwavering devotion to her family. She will be remembered for her stubborn nature, witty responses, and funny sense of humor - qualities that brought laughter and light to those around her.

Helen is survived by her daughter Karen (Greg) Heidbrier and her daughter-in-law Eloise Stice. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Julie (Kirk) Reinhart, Dee (Steve) Shepski, Mona Grandinetti, Nichole (Junior) Prescod, Josh (Julie) Heidbrier, Sarah Heidbrier, and Zachary (Lauren) Heidbrier. Her joy multiplied with 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride. She is also remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews. Helen held a special place in her family as the last surviving aunt on both sides.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her son Kenneth, her parents, her brother Charles, her sisters Ruby, Betty, Shirley, and Dolores, and her grandson John.

A celebration of Helen's life will be held on December 11th at 10:00 a.m. at First Christian Church, where family and friends will gather to honor the remarkable woman who touched so many lives. In lieu of flowers, Helen's family would appreciate memorial donations to Bread for Life Food Pantry or FCC Troy (First Christian Church).
