Helen C Trujillo passed away on November 3, 2025, at her home in Denver, Colorado. Services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Diana’s Event Center, 4325 W. Florida Ave.
Helen was born on April 16, 1967, in Denver, Colorado, the 8th child of Bessie and Willie Trujillo.
Helen was funny, kind, generous and had the greatest love for her children and grandchildren. Helen loved to sing, dance, travel, and have fun. She lived life to the fullest and was always, unapologetically, herself.
Helen was a hard worker. She started at a very young age and worked until she became ill and was unable to work anymore.
Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She is survived by her children Jerome Maisel, Jr., Nicolas Maisel, Ernest Valdez father of Rodney Valdez (Neveah Herman), and Robert Valdez (Roslynn Gonzalez), her grandchildren Dominic Sandoval, Lucia Rylee Valdez, and Raelynn Gonzalez-Valdez, step-children Isaiah, Josh, John, and Monique, step-grandchildren Isaiah II, Larisa, Alyssa, and Danaea, and, 4 great step-grandchildren, her mother Bessie Trujillo, sisters Cathy Vigil, Margie (John) MacBride, and Sharon (Tommy Gomez) Trujillo and her brothers Rudy (Diana) Trujillo, Ralph (Michelle) Trujillo, and Ron (Renee) Trujillo. Helen was the proud Auntie of 19 nieces and nephews, 29 great-nieces and nephews, 1 great nephew, and 1 great- great nephew. There are way too many friends and other family members to mention.
Helen was not only a loving mother, but she was also a very compassionate and passionate person towards the people that she loved. She was a caretaker to so many that appreciated her kindness and generosity. Those people still remember her fondly. She was also the greatest confidante. You could tell her anything and she would take it to the grave.
Helen is predeceased by her dad, Willie Trujillo and her brother Bobby Trujillo. She will be missed by so many.
