It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina K. McCune, age 75, on the nineteenth day of September in this year of our lord, 2025. She was a beloved mother, sister, nurse, neighbor, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone she met.
Born in Little Rock, AR, Tina served her country proudly as a member of the United States Navy before embarking on a distinguished career as an Operating Room nurse. For 47 years, she cared for others in their most critical moments, bringing skill, calm, and compassion to every patient and colleague. Her dedication in the OR saved lives and brought comfort to countless families.
Above all, Tina was a wonderful and devoted mother. She poured her heart into raising her children, John and Claire, providing unwavering support, wisdom, and love. Her children, and all who knew her, will forever cherish the memories of her nurturing spirit, her laughter, and her guidance. Her devotion extended to her son-in-law, EJ, whom she welcomed as family with open arms.
She was also an active member of her church, finding joy and fellowship in the church chorus, where her love of music shone brightly. She was a devoted dog lover, always surrounded by her cherished pets, and a loyal friend to many, known for her kindness and sense of humor.
Tina was an enthusiastic supporter of Florida State University football, never missing a game, and she enjoyed relaxing with a good glass of whisky among family and friends.
She is survived by her son, John; her daughter, Claire, and son-in-law, EJ; and her younger sister, Jana. She will also be remembered fondly by her extended family, neighbors, her church community, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held on November the eighth at Hope United Methodist Church with the service to begin at 10:00am MST. The service will be streamed live on
