Helene Anne (Naeseth) Krikris, 78, of Wenatchee, died Monday, August 25, 2025, at her home in Wenatchee. Helene was born August 14, 1947, to Chresten (Jack) and Lucille (Burnell) Naeseth in Wenatchee, WA. She received her early education there and finished high school at Spangle, WA, at a boarding school. She went on to college, after finishing high school in three years, at Walla Walla University. After two years there, she transferred to Columbia Union College in Washington, D.C. After college, she worked for the Honorable Henry M. Jackson, the Senator from the state of Washington, in his Washington, D.C. office. While working there, she met Chris Krikris, who was the manager of The Monocle Restaurant on Capitol Hill. When they married, they opened another restaurant down the street, which served many from the Senate, House, and the Supreme Court. After selling Club II, they operated yet another restaurant in Upper Georgetown, which also served many distinguished Washington notables. Upon selling that restaurant, Chris retired, and Helene went on to work in a CPA firm in Silver Spring, Maryland. At this job, she learned the finer details of bookkeeping and accounting. Upon moving to Wenatchee in 1985, she worked for Angie Schall's three businesses and Pacific North as a full-charge bookkeeper. Chris and Helene were married in Washington, D.C., and again on the Island of Patmos, Greece, in 1982. Chris brought Helene back to her "home" of Wenatchee in 1985, where she has lived since that time. Chris died in 2008 after nearly 39 years of marriage. They had no children. As Helene would say, "The Mommy gene got left out of me!" Helene is survived by Steve Krikris (Eleni) and Leo of Athens, Greece. Nancy (Joe) Plumbo of St. Paul, MN, Elaine (Mel) Mabray of Houston, TX, Marica Fotinos, Houston, TX, Stephen (Tammy) Elzy of Lindstrom, MN, many wonderful cousins, lifelong friends, and of course the CATS!! She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Arleen and Howard Kraft, her niece, Judy Williams, her nephew, John Kraft, Greek sisters-law, Kallipe (Loukas), Margaret (John), her brothers-in-law George (Bonnie), John, and Isidoros, who was a Bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church in Athens. Helene's funeral will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 in Wenatchee at Three Hierarchs Orthodox Church, presided over by Father Michae Shanbour. Burial will be at Wenatchee Cemetery next to her "Golden Greek." May her memory be eternal! No time on earth is long enough to share with those we love or to prepare our hearts for goodbye. Instead of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wenatchee Humane Society. Arrangements by Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
