He is survived by two sons, Helmut W. Schmook, Jr. and wife Arlene of Murrell's Inlet, SC, and Tony Schmoock and wife Diane of Chester, NH; daughter, Heike Cooper and husband Robert Cooper of Eastville, VA; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Horst Schmoock and wife Pauline of South Boston, MA as well as several extended family members. Helmut is predeceased by his first wife, Helga Schmoock and two sons, Uwe and Thomas Schmoock.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital at https://www.shrinerschildrens.org/en/locations/boston
