Hendrikus (Henry) Broos passed away on October 23rd, 2024, surrounded by family. Born on November 10, 1947, in Surabaya, Indonesia, he immigrated to the United States with his family in 1961. He heroically served three tours in Vietnam in the US Army from 1967 to 1971, where he met the love his life, Cuc Thi Le. He is survived by his wife Cuc and children, Harry, Linda, Lisa (Cory) and Henry (Thien). Opa to nine grandchildren; Nico, Jeremy, Madison, Jordan, Cali, Ethan, Dylin, Mason, Caeden and three great grandchildren; Christopher, Haddie, John, and Skylar. Also survived by his siblings; Louisa, Louis, Freddy, Filip, Gerarda, the Letteboer family and many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death parents Gerardes and Bertha Broos and brother Rudy Boelen.
He will be missed by all who’s lives he touched with his gentle soul. Sweet husband, father, Opa, brother and uncle, may you forever be dancing among the angels.
Funeral services will be held on November 8th, 2024, at Redwood Memorial, 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan UT 84123. Viewing 9:00am – 11:00am, Memorial Service 11:00am – 12:00pm, followed by burial at Utah Veterans Cemetery, 17111 S Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale UT 84065.
