Henrietta "Henrie" Frye Fisher, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, North Carolina.
Born in Durham, Henrie was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry W. Fisher, Sr.; her mother, Tiny Mae Vickers Frye; and her father, Charles Francis Frye.
Henrie is survived by her son, Jerry W. Fisher, Jr. (Frances); her granddaughter, Jewell R. Fisher (Hunter); and her brother, Charles Frye (Lin). She is also lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law, Teresa Dixon; many dear "cousins-in-law"; and numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Henrie dedicated over 40 years of service as an Executive Assistant in the Accounting Department at Research Triangle Institute. Her commitment, grace, and professionalism left a lasting impression on her colleagues.
She adored her family and played a cherished role in the life of her granddaughter, Jewell. Henrie was known for her radiant smile, warm spirit, and unshakable positivity - qualities she carried with her even as her health declined. She was as beautiful in soul as she was in presence.
Henrie had a special love for flowers, and any floral tributes will be deeply appreciated. For those who prefer to make a contribution in her honor, the family suggests donations be made to the Duke Hospice Foundation, 4321 Medical Park Drive, Suite 101, Durham, NC 27704, or online through their website. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Duke Hospice staff for their compassionate care.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham.
Arrangements are being handled by Clements Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. in Durham. Online condolences may be shared at www.clementsfuneralservice.com.
