Henry Alan Baldus

Henry Alan Baldus, age 11, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, at his home.

He was born June 1, 2014, in Warrensburg, the son of Brad and Sara (Baldus).

Celebrating the Life of Henry Baldus

Our hearts are forever changed by the life and love of Henry Baldus, who passed away at just eleven years old. Though his time here was far too short, Henry's spirit, joy, and kindness left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Henry had the biggest, most infectious smile and beautiful blue eyes that could light up any room. He was full of energy, curiosity, and had a fearless love for adventure. Whether he was casting a fishing line, swimming until sunset, or white-water rafting through the rapids of Colorado, Henry lived life with excitement and courage.

He loved spending time outdoors-riding bikes with his sister and cousins, enjoying bon fires, going on float trips, or just running around with his beloved dogs, Daisy and Penny. He enjoyed playing games with family and looked forward to gatherings. Henry was also an entertaining student and a proud baseball player, always ready to practice with his team and his stepdad, who was also his coach.

Henry's laughter, kindness, and bravery touched countless hearts. He brought joy, love, and light wherever he went. Though we wish for more time, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever be a part of us-in every adventure, every smile, and every act of love shared in his memory.

Henry is deeply loved and will never be forgotten. His life, though brief, was beautifully full.

Henry is survived by his parents, Sara and Ryan Shaw, and Brad (Nicole) Baldus; his sister, Quinn Shaw; grandparents, David and Kathaleen Rogers, Lilly (Robert) Smith, Jeff Drees, and Tom and Mary Shaw; a great grandfather, Donald Rogers; great-grandparents; Ron and Wilma Shaw; aunts and uncles, Jacob Rogers, Aaron (Kristin) Shaw, Amber (Joe) Biesemeyer, Joey Drees, and Danielle Smith; and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with the Rev. Heather Jepsen officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Old Drum Animal Shelter and left in care of the funeral home.
