It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Phillip Glenn Johnson, age 94, of Sedalia, Missouri, and a lifelong resident of Knob Noster, Missouri. Glenn was born on December 16, 1930, in Cimarron, Kansas, to J.L. and Lillie Johnson.

On June 11, 1950, Glenn was united in marriage to Margie Lee Kile in Knob Noster, Missouri. They shared 70 wonderful years together before her passing.

Glenn was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margie Johnson; his parents, J.L. and Lillie Johnson; his sister, Carol Johnson Glaszczak; his niece, Julie Garber; and his great-grandson, Ricky Durrell Johnson.

He is survived by his children, Rick (Dee) Johnson of Knob Noster, Missouri; Vicky (Allen) Whittall of Sedalia, Missouri; and Glenda Logan of Knob Noster, Missouri; as well as his sister-in-law, Shirley (Harold) Rogers of Blue Springs, Missouri. Glenn was also blessed with seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Knob Noster, Glenn lived a life of faith, family, and community service. He was a past member of the Knob Noster Lions Club, a past board member for the City of Knob Noster, and was active for many years in the Knob Noster Summer Recreation Program. Glenn graduated from Knob Noster High School with the Class of 1948.

Glenn was also the proud owner of a Missouri Century Farm and Johnson Lumber Company, LLC, for 34 years before retiring in 2003. He was known for his dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic in all that he did.

Glenn will be remembered for his hard work, generosity, and deep love for his family and community. His legacy will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m.. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m., with interment immediately following at Knob Noster Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knob Noster First Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice and may be left in the care of the funeral home.
