Henry Criss Obituary

KENT - Henry Criss, 95, of Kent, Ohio, passed away on October 21, 2025, after a short illness at home, surrounded by his family.
Henry was born to Joseph and Matilda Criss in Akron, Ohio. He lived in Akron most of his life before recently moving to Kent. On September 14, 1957, he married his wife, Billie (Freeman) Criss.
Henry retired after 38 years with Lockheed Martin. He also owned Henry Criss Landscaping. He was a proud member of Tadmor Shrine Royal Orders of Jesters, Blue Lodge, and several other Shrine organizations. Henry and his wife enjoyed many years traveling with family and friends prior to her passing on June 11, 2023, after 65 years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Criss; his parents, Joseph and Matilda Criss; his son, Jerry Criss; and ten brothers and sisters. Henry was the last surviving sibling.
He is survived by his sons, Jimmy (Carolyn) Criss and John (Diane) Criss; his daughter, Vickie (Joe) Brown; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Crossroads Hospice for their care and compassion, and to Dr. Chung as well.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11 AM, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2569 Romig Road, Akron 44320.
