Henry Larry Davis

Henry Larry Davis, 79, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Hardison Baptist Church, 13845 GA Hwy 42, Byron, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM, followed by funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road in Macon. Tommy Goss and Rev. Sean Kelly will officiate.
Born in Macon to the late Otis Davis and Melba Leonard Davis, Larry graduated from Willingham High School. In 1964, he began working at the Macon Water Authority, retiring from there in 2001. He played softball for MWA and several churches in Macon and enjoyed riding his motorcycles with Southern Cruisers Riding Club. He liked to video his children and grandchildren playing sports and enjoyed following college football. He loved Christmas shopping for his family and being at Panama City Beach, Florida.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Clarice Hinson Davis; his children, Delynda Tweedell (Hank) of Arnoldsville, GA, Brandy Murdock of Hartwell, GA, Brad Davis (Amber) of Gray, GA, April Heard of Montrose, Colorado, Corey Heard (Andrea) of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Kimberly Tart of Valdosta, GA; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Diane Frost; brother in law, James Hinson (Beverly) of Musella; several nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, "Scooter" and "Sugar". He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister in law, Sheila Land.
