Henry M. Drewa

Henry M. Drewa passed a day after his 68th birthday. Henry was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Born on Long Island, NY, he grew up in Wilson and attended Windsor Schools and Asnuntuck Community College. He was employed at Accessory Control in Windsor and later Walmart. Prior, along with his cousin and best friend Stanley, they worked for concert promoter Koplik and Finkel where he met many musicians in the 1970's. Henry loved music, mainly playing the guitar. He along with cousins and friends formed rock bands. The Beatles were his greatest inspiration. Henry had struggles and was supported by and he supported the Recovery Club. Henry's strong religion brought him inspiration, comfort, and solace. He was generous with his faith and without hesitation quoted from the Bible to those who needed compassion and empathy. Left to mourn him are his family, his father, Zbigniew; sister, Mary; brother -in-law, Keith; nephews who adored their uncle, Drew and Evan; friends, Lauren Liske Adkins and Joe Coevalho. He was predeceased by his mother, Regina; sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Frank and his dear cousins and best friends, Stanley and Teddy Mielczarek. Henry's life will be celebrated Saturday, February 11, 2023, calling hours are 9-10 AM at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Damien of Molokai Parish-St. Gabriel Church, Windsor.
