Thank you everyone for the kind words of honor to my Dad, "Bud"/Henry Garretson. All who knew him and met him could quickly see he was a wonderful man/person.

I had the privilege to call him "DAD" for 53 years. I am the oldest of his children. I love and miss my dad so very much. I look at his picture every day and I have a belt with eagles wings that he wore many times hanging on my bedroom door and I see it each and every day. It gives me strength to rise up with eagles wings, just like he did.

I KNOW my dad is with our Heavenly Father and I know he is young again and dancing with King David...as my dad often spoke of. My dad always said he wanted to go to heaven in the twinkling of an eye. God took him instantly, so I know his request was granted.

I WILL see my dad again and he will hug me again like he did every Sunday when I saw him at church, and he will kiss me and tell me he loves me just like he did then. I can still smell him in my mind as he wore the same cologne each week. I treasure these and all the many memories I have of him.

I have been so blessed to be his daughter. He never let me down. He always encouraged me, listened when I needed to talk, cried with me when I had problems, and prayed me through all my surgeries and pains over the years. There was no other man on earth like him. I thank God I got to share his life on this earth.

My dad was a healthy man and was still working. What a blessing from God to be 72 years old with no health problems and still doing what he liked to do. And, most of all, still preaching God's word and still witnessing wherever he went.

I love you Daddy and I miss you so much. Tell God and Jesus and my friend, Norma, that I love them too.
I will see you and live with you for eternity! Wow, what a great time that will be!

We the neighbors of Gospel Way send our deepest sympathy to the Families of Pastor Garrison, we give Honor to Our Lord Jesus Christ for just allowing a Man of God to walk and talk with the community. As the word of god say “the world and its desires pass away, but THE MAN who does the WILL of GOD lives forever! even though he has passed for this earthly world this man of God lives within those who desire the same God he Labored 72 years for. May God bless you all.

Bud was my first pastor ever. His church was my first home church and the family holds a very special place in my heart. I am so sorry that he was taken from you so suddenly. Just know he will be forever with our Lord. We are thinking of you all and praying that you will find the peace and strength you need. Cherish your special memories of him. We love you all. Mrs. Garretson, Ricky, Korena, and the entire family. I fondly remember Bud as a kind and gentle man. His love for life and his family was evident, as he often spoke often them. AND, he was a very handsome gentleman. I'm so sad to learn of his tragic passing. God needed another Angel, and he chose Bud. Please know that I will be keeping the entire family in my thoughts and prayers. Bud will be sorely missed by all whom knew him.
