Henry Grant, Jr. Obituary
Born in Chester, South Carolina on October 16,1950, he was a son of Henry Lee Grant, Sr. and Genette Rousey Grant. Lee was a graduate of Chester High School and the University of South Carolina. He served in various supervisory and administrative roles for Kendall Mill in Edgefield, South Carolina, Albertville, Alabama, and Pelzer, South Carolina. He ended his long career at Kravet Fabrics in Anderson, South Carolina. Lee was a member of The Optimist Club of Anderson, South Carolina. He served as President for several years in the early 2000s.
Loved by friends and family, Lee was known for his quiet, steadfast nature. He was always there and ready to lend a hand. He had a generous nature and prioritized those he loved. He chose to see the best in people.
Lee is survived by his longtime companion Mary Moses Patrick of the home, his children, Christy Hewitt, (Jeff Caudle) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Henry Lee Grant III "Trey" of Greenwood, South Carolina, and William Harris Grant (Rachel Murphy) of Anderson, South Carolina, Angela Pearson Evans (Ray) of Ninety Six, South Carolina, Wayne Pearson (Jessica) of Ninety Six, South Carolina, Elijah Moses of Columbia, South Carolina; his brother Richard Grant "Rick" (Lisa Grant) of Chester, South Carolina; grandchildren Christy Lake Hewitt, Elizabeth Lee Hewitt, Mary Elliott Hewitt, Haley Grant, William Grant, Jr. Laken Grant, and Noah Wilmoth. Also surviving are Jacob Evans, Carter Evans, Jaxon Moses, Ben Grant (Brittany) and children.
In addition to his parents, Lee was predeceased by Mary Lake Grant, Judy Pearson and Alexis Evans.
The family wishes to thank Lee's doctors and staff at the Medical University of South Carolina Neurology, Palliative Care, caregivers Michelle Barksdale, Jennifer Henderson, Yasheria Leverett, Gabby Limehouse, and VIA Health Partners Laurens County, South Carolina nurses, CNAs, and staff for their kind and empathetic care contributing to the quality of life Lee was able to achieve.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 o'clock on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jason Wilson officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
