Henry (Hank) M Huyser, age 88, of Cedar Lake, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at his home.
He was born on June 3, 1937, in Chicago, IL, the son of Mathew and Jennie (nee: Speelman) Huyser.
Henry retired from Mobil Oil in 1999. Henry was also a member of the Lansing Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years.
During his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing, bowling and spending time with his family and friends. He loved sharing with others about his relationship with Jesus.
Henry is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Edna (nee: Boersma) Huyser; three daughters, Kim (Tim) Boonstra, Kathy Huyser and Wendy (Rich) Dykstra; and son, Henry Huyser Jr.; 9 grandchildren: Tim (Kate)Boonstra, Michael (Leslie) Boonstra, Kara (Brett) Synek, Nicole (Richard) Smith, Ryan (Ebonie) Dykstra, Kaylee Huyser, Hope Huyser, Matt Huyser and Tyler Huyser; 8 great grandchildren; and one brother William Huyser.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Richard, Peter and Harry Huyser; and two sisters, Harriet Veldkamp and Tracy Vander Linden.
Friends may greet the family on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at BURDAN FUNERAL HOME, 12901 Wicker Ave., Cedar Lake, IN 46303. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 12:00 pm at BURDAN FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL.
