Henry Joseph Jones Jr., 95, of Owensboro, passed away on August 29, 2025, at his home while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. He was born October 21, 1929, in Fulton County, GA to the late Henry Sr. and Rita Mackey Jones. Henry proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and worked as a union electrician. Henry enjoyed working in his yard and on his home, he was well known for being able to fix anything that needed repairing. He was very funny, always having a good laugh, and loved dancing, whether it was in a ballroom with his wife, or at home with a record player going.
Most of all, Henry enjoyed spending time being with his family, whom he loved with all his heart.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie Jones; two sons, Richard and Joseph Jones; and three sisters, Betty Ann, Essie, and Georgette.
Henry is survived by two sons, Michael (Charlene) Jones and Larry (Angela) Jones, his stepdaughter, Ruth Joy (Seth) English; ten grandchildren, Megan, Stewart, Laura, Hannah, Julia, Rebecca, Jessica, Heather, Alexandria, and Alexander; also, many nieces and nephews.
