Henry J. Levesque Jr.

It is with great love and reverence that we announce the passing of Henry J. Levesque Jr., a cherished patriarch, and friend to all who knew him. Henry departed this life on January 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and an enduring spirit.
Born on June 15, 1925, in Newton, Massachusetts, to the late Henry J. and Mildred Levesque, Henry was a beacon of light in the lives of his family and friends. He built a life of dedication and warmth alongside his beloved late wife, Jeannette (Gillis) Levesque, with whom he nurtured a loving family.
A proud father, his legacy is carried on by his children: Stephen Levesque of Quincy; Gail Gowdy and her husband, Raymond of California; Lorraine Seymore of Holbrook; Larry Levesque and his wife, Cindy of Pembroke; Joseph Levesque of Weymouth; Linda Scully and her husband, Ronald of Halifax; Paul Levesque and his wife, Linda of Braintree; and Scott Levesque of Holbrook. A lover of animals, Henry is also survived by his beloved 19-year-old cat, "Cat" and his 90-year-old parrot.
Henry's memory will also be treasured by his 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Henry is predeceased by his sisters, Marjorie Hammond and Lorraine Morgan, and his brother Freddy Levesque.
A United States Marine and Air Force veteran, Henry's dedication to his country was something he was extremely proud of. In his professional life, Henry skillfully operated heavy equipment in construction. His influence extended beyond his family, leaving a mark of hard work and dependability in his field. Henry found joy in days spent on his Harley.
Henry's kindness was the cornerstone of his existence, a trait that immensely enriched the lives of those around him. As we bid farewell to Henry J. Levesque Jr., we celebrate a life exemplified by generosity, love, and an unwavering kindness that will forever be cherished.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period Sunday, January 19th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 South Franklin Street, Holbrook. A Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at a time to be announced.
