Henry Martinez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, Cemeteries & Crematories on Mar. 12, 2026.
Henry Martinez passed away on March 2nd, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 63.

Henry was born to parents Victoriano Martinez and Maria De Refugio Martinez in San Antonio, Texas. He married his beloved wife, Maria Martinez, in 1982 and raised their three daughters together.

Henry loved spending time with his girls (wife, daughters, and fur babies). It didn't matter if it was sharing a meal, watching a movie, or family vacations, he just wanted to spend quality time together.

He loved watching DIY shows and the History Channel and would share random facts he learned. He knew all about trees and birds pointing out each when he saw them. He was a constant learner and enjoyed teaching his daughters how to build or fix things. While he raised strong independent daughters he was always available whenever they needed him.

Henry loved animals and they loved him back. Stray dogs and cats always found their way to him and he'd take them all in. Bees would fly around him, but never sting. Birds and butterflies circled him and he'd quietly talk to them.

Watching sports with his daughters brought him great joy. His favorite teams included the Spurs, Cowboys, Aggies and Roadrunners.

Henry is preceded in passing by his parents, Victoriano Martinez and Maria De Refugio Martinez; his son, Rene Martinez; and his brother, Jerry Martinez.

Henry Martinez is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maria Martinez; his daughters, Elizabeth Martinez, Alexsandra Martinez, and Katherine Martinez; his brothers, Victor Martinez and Hector Martinez; and his numerous nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all that were blessed to know him.
