Henry, the son of the late Mary McCombs and Rev. Allen Douglas McCombs, was born on May 29, 1936, in Hopkinsville, KY.
Henry was a member of West Union Baptist Church where he was a deacon and trustee. He retired after 30 years as Laundry Supervisor at Fort Campbell Civil Service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, landscaping, and dressing sharp.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Maggie McCombs; son, George D. McCombs; siblings, Walter A. McCombs, Rose Lee McCombs Ware, and Mary Bob McCombs Dillard.
Survivors include his children, Juanita (Charles) Birdsong, Michelle McCombs Nosiri, and Melinda McCombs Whorley; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; devoted nephews, Carl Sivils and Rev. James Dunbar; devoted nieces, Karen Dillard and Betty Ware; a host of nieces and nephews.
