Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kloecker Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. - Erie (a.k.a. Francis V. Kloecker on Jan. 23, 2024.
In loving memory of our Father, Henry (Hank) Oldach (Oldakowski), who passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. He was born on March 27, 1931. He was the devoted husband of Dorothy Oldach (Zawistowski) and loving father of his surviving children: Lawrence Oldach (Colleen), Robert Oldach, Mark Oldach (Pamela), Lauren (Lori Oldach) Taylor, Lisa Oldach and Kathie Swack (Richard) and many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all that who knew him.
He was one of the kindest souls on this planet. Our father was a good, caring, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family and friends had everything that they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. He was always a giver to mankind and to animals. He had a marvelous wit about him and could make you laugh while discussing not so serious subjects.
Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic into each of us. He was always there for his children, to make sure that we had a wonderful home, food on the table and warm clothing all year round. He was a man of good faith and he taught us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he was very proud to have accomplished.
After graduation, Hank enlisted into the Air Force as a (MP) Military Police. He had served his country with pride. During that time, he had married his true love, Dorothy. After the military service he eventually joined the IBEW Local #56 Union as an Electrician and then Foreman. Our father was a true role model who we will always look up to.
He was a member of the Siebenberg Club, Slovak Club, Huzars, etc. Our Father was always available to help those in need. He would often do electrical/construction work for those who were in need of help. He never liked to take payment for those who were struggling. Instead, he would accept their insistent generosity by way of their baked goods and cooking as a thank you. We, as kids, could never forget the unending delicious baked and cooked goods that he would bring home to our family.
Anyone who knew Hank knew that he was the most loving Father, Spouse, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend as he lived his life. Henry was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Oldach (Zawistowski), mother, Harriet Stachewicz (Konopka), his father, Henry Oldakowski and his brothers and sisters: Raymond Oldach, Chester, Ronald and Thomas Deptula, Russell Stachewicz, Betsy DeForce and Maryann Stachewicz, and daughter-in-law, Susan Oldach. His surviving brothers and sisters are: Helen Kerner, Margaret (Peggi) McCall, and Edward Stachewicz, and sister-in-law, Debbie Oldach and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
