Henry "Harv" Pankey

Arvilee "Harv" Pankey, age 74 of Ellijay, Ga passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025. Harv was born June 25, 1950, in Chatsworth, Ga to his parents Henry Hershel Pankey and Linda Marie Chastain. Harv was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. Harv was a Loader Operator for many years at Georgia Marble Company and retired after 40 years of service to the company. Harv was preceded in death by his father Hershel Pankey, his mothers Dollie Davis Pankey and Marie Chastain Pankey, and brothers Marshall and Orin Pankey.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn N. Pankey of Ellijay, Ga, daughter and son in law Candy and Jason Ledford of Cherry Log, Ga and Natasha Pankey of Ellijay, Ga, grandchildren Dillan and Jacie Ledford, Jalynn Ledford and Great grandchild Aiden Ledford, brother and sister-in-law Coy and Patti Pankey of Ellijay, Ga., special friends Elmer Pankey and James Defoor.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 4-8 pm. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 3:00pm at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Dotson, Rev. Bryan Hensley and Rev. Randy McClure officiating. The singing will be led by Ronald and Linda Hyde. Pallbearers are Coy Pankey, Jason Ledford, Dillan Ledford, Robbie Talley, Barry Talley, Frankie McClure, David Stover, & Chad Walker. Elmer Pankey, James Defoor, Wilburn Defoor, Billy James, Jerry Millsap and Jim Findley will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will be at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery.
