Henry Jack Patterson, Jr. “Jay” passed away on December 14, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 2PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Chris Cox. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 5-7PM and other times at 170 Penny Lane, Reidsville.
Jay worked with his daddy and became owner of Patterson Heating and Air many years ago. He was owner of Wentworth Bingo non-profit organization for many years as well. He loved to work so much. He used to take his wife Lisa with him to climb under houses to get the job done, he didn’t care what it took. After teaching her, he then taught his son everything about both businesses and he’s left here to carry his name on. He also loved and worked bingo since he was 21 years old.
He was a loving person. His son was the most important person in his life. He also loved his wife Lisa! His customers and Bingo players is who he always wanted to make happy. He loved to carry on and joke with everybody he loved, especially his aunt Diane and Uncle Gary and all his sister-in-laws. His favorite vacation spot is Myrtle Beach.
He loved coming to his mother-in-law’s to eat and he always knew he was welcome no matter what anywhere with the family. He loved to eat breakfast with his son at PG’s and Dinner at Pete’s Burgers. They would jump in the car and head to the beach at the condo they owned at any given moment.
Jay is preceded in death by his grandmother, Jewel Kelly; father, Henry Jack Patterson Sr.; and brother, Robert Wayne Patterson.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Patterson; son, Henry Jack Patterson III “JJ”; sisters, Joyce Patterson and Linda King (Phil); mother, Frances Patterson; and special mother-in-law, Pat Chilton.
Jay will be missed dearly by those who knew him.
