Henry Haden Phillips, Sr., 65, of Indianola, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, September 12, 2025.

Henry was an avid outdoorsman and gardener. His tomatoes were highly sought after. He was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Church of God in Indianola. Henry was blessed with a beautiful singing voice that he used to worship God. He worked for SuperValu in Indianola for 39 years prior to his retirement. Henry was also a dedicated family man and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Lee Wooten; wife, Sheila Phillips; and sister, Sandra Rosa.

Henry is survived by his children, Susan Liddell (James), Henry Phillips, Jr. (Stacy) and Bailey Zuniga (Paco); and thirteen grandchildren, Karleigh Phillips, Landon Liddell, John Phillip Liddell, Jacob Phillips, Lily Phillips, Tommy Wilson, Branley Phillips, Henley Phillips, Brooklynn Zuniga, Conner Zuniga, Ollie Zuniga, Greyson Zuniga, and Elena Zuniga.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Pete Roncali officiating. Burial will follow in McNutt Cemetery in Schlater. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
