Henry Price

Henry Orville Price, age 90, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 19, 1935, in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, the son of the late Omer Price Sr. and Mahala (Howard) Price.
Henry was a longtime member of the Hillsboro Free Will Baptist Church and a proud member of the Highland Masonic Lodge #38 F&AM. He was a farmer through and through, working the land his entire life. He took great joy in teaching his children and grandchildren the values of hard work, patience, and respect for the land. A talented carpenter as well, Henry built his family home on the farm along with the barns and many of the structures that still stand as a testament to his skill and dedication.
He loved old cars, racing, and tractor pulls, but more than anything, Henry cherished time spent with his family and friends. His gentle spirit, steady presence, and unwavering love made him the heart of his family, and his wisdom and stories will be treasured for generations.
Henry's legacy lives on in the family he loved, the land he tended, and the countless memories shared with those fortunate enough to know him.
Henry is survived by his daughter-in-law, Carol Price; son-in-law, Ben White; three grandchildren, Nathan (Olivia Allen) Price, Zach (Jessica) Johnson, Megan (Josh Hall) Price; eight great grandchildren, Lane Price, Audrey Price, Grant Henry Johnson, Jada Johnson, Noah Johnson, Graden Johnson, Adalee Johnson, and Jayden Wolf; two siblings, Christine Griffith and Kenny (Alice) Price Sr.; sister-in-law, Patricia "Patty" Price; special niece, Teresa Pence and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Ann Price on May 12, 2010; son, Rodney Allen Price on June 13, 2025; daughter, Vicki Rae White on November 17, 2018; siblings, Howard Price, Doris Roades, Marie Lands, Mary Lee Helton, Jim Price and Omer "Junior" Price; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry Griffith, Nellie Price, Pat Price, Birtsyl Roades, Paul Lands, Phyllis Price, and Elijah Helton Sr.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday November 21, 2025, at the Hillsboro Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. following visitation on Friday November 21st at the church. Rev. Richard Burns will be officiating. Burial will follow services in the Hamer Township Cemetery.
