With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Henry August Schmitt, who left us on March 19, 2026. Born on February 20, 1977, in Trenton, he was the son of Richard and Rita (Gerwolls) Schmitt. A dedicated and skilled Auto Mechanic, Henry spent his career bringing life back to engines and offering his expertise to those around him, embodying a work ethic rooted in care and precision.
Henry was a man who found joy and freedom in the great outdoors. He cherished the thrill of boating across shimmering waters, navigating the quiet, snow-covered trails on his snowmobile, and the satisfaction found under the hood of a car, lovingly working on vehicles that needed his attention. These passions not only filled his days with purpose but also connected him to the simple pleasures of life and the camaraderie of shared experiences.
Henry is survived by his daughter Alexis and her fiance' Nicholas Hernandez. Henry’s family circle included mother, Rita and siblings: Debbie (Steve), Rick, Jeanette, John (Amy), and Don. Sadly he was preceded in death by his father
