Mr. Henry I. Taft, age 63, of Axson, Ga. passed away Sunday, March 02, 2025, at his home in Axson, Ga.

Born November 29, 1961, in Pearson, Ga., Mr. Taft was the son of the late Johnny and Catherine Tracy Taft. Mr. Taft was a carpenter by trade. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and would help anyone who needed assistance. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 brothers, William, Robert, and Colonel Dale Taft.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters: Michelle Gurley and husband Matt of Pearson, Ga.

                     Whitney Harrell and husband Jeremy of Pearson, Ga.

5 Sons: Devin Taft of Pearson, Ga.

             Alan Diaz and wife Kaitlyn of Broxton, Ga.

             Aldo Taft of Axson, Ga.

             Hunter Taft of Macon, Ga.

             Emanuel Taft and wife Ana of Axson, Ga.

Brother: John Taft and wife Teresa of Axson, Ga.

Sister: Shermilee Taylor and husband Ben of Axson, Ga.

Special nephews: Ryan Taft and wife Nicole of Douglas, Ga.

                              Casey Taft of Axson, Ga.

11 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Graveside services for Mr. Taft were held on Thursday, March 06, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the Axson Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Purvis officiating. Special music included “Give Heaven Some Hell”, “Lead Me Home”, and “You Should Be Here” presented by cd. The interment followed in Axson Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: John Pafford, Ryan Taft, Casey Taft, Hector Hernandez, Jonathon Hughes, and Matt Gurley.

Honorary pallbearers were: George Davis, Mackie Smith, Steve Sweat, and Ben Taylor.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
