He was born to the late Curtis Walter Speights and Betty Gray Miller Speights.
Henslee retired from the United States Navy after over 20 years of service to his country.
A celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday (October 11, 2025) at the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel (405 E. Strawberry Blvd.) with military honors.
Surviving family includes his wife, Peggy Bozeman Grainger of the home; step-daughter, Christy Priest (Roy) of Carlsbad, New Mexico; siblings, Curtis W. Speights Jr. (Lynne) of King, Robert L. Speights (Patty) of Lumberton, Sarah Lynne Mayes of Fairmont, and Norma Gray Hill of Fairmont.

BJ was my shipmate and my Friend on the USS SANDLANCE. Iam so sorry for your loss he was a good man and everyone liked and loved him. He was always so happy n funny, enjoyed a good laugh. I loved him he's my bro.
