Henson Martin Mansfield Jr, born on December 29, 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana.
Henson was a devoted husband to Bonnie Lee Mansfield, and he often expressed how no one could cook like her. His love for his family was evident in all he did. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; his daughters, Gayle Snyder (Bill) and Melissa Walker (Carlos); his brother, Jimmy Mansfield; and his cherished grandchildren, Gregory Baltoff, Harley Walker, Tara Sauce, and Chandler Snyder.
Henson was a member of the New Life Church. He took great pride in sharing his faith and teachings as a Revelation Teacher and Bible Guru. He retired after serving as a Bridge Operator for the State of Louisiana. A true sports enthusiast, he loved following the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Lakers closely.
Henson is preceded in death by his father, Hinsen Mansfield, his mother, Lottie Guillory Mansfield, and his granddaughter, Lyndsey Regina Sticker.
Visitation will be held on October 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Life United Pentecostal Church, located at 72151 Camellia Dr, Covington, LA 70433. A funeral service will follow the visitation, starting at 12:00 PM and concluding at 1:00 PM, also at New Life Pentecostal Church. Burial to follow int he Briar Patch Cemetery in Loranger, Louisiana.
Henson's profound understanding of God's word and his remarkable wisdom will be deeply cherished and profoundly missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved him.
