Herald Gene Miller, age 67, of Greenville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Kettering Medical Center.
Born on July 14, 1958, in Ary, Kentucky, Herald was the beloved son of the late Emanuel and Isabell Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Andy, Don, James, Gary, and Theda.
Those left to honor and cherish Herald's memory include his devoted wife, Linda Miller; his children, Angela (David) Rua, Melissa Miller, Blake (Shaina) Shell, Christian Miller, Jordan Miller, and Connor Miller; and his grandchildren, Sebastian, Cole, and Devin Sirois, and Elissa, Isabella, and Emma Shell, all of whom brought him tremendous joy. He is also survived by his siblings, Anna (Danny) Miller, Karen (Anthony) Cummins, and Linville (Della) Miller; sister-in-law, Denise Flory; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Herald found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid football fan, especially of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved riding his motorcycle, playing video games, spending time at the gun range, and most of all, being surrounded by his family.
A visitation to celebrate Herald's life will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Tribute Funeral Homes in Greenville. A military honors service will follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
