Herbert Arnold Obituary
Herb attended Stonington High School (class of 1958) and went on to study at the University of Connecticut. That led to a career at Three Rivers Community College teaching Architecture and Engineering. During that time, he also founded Arnold Design Group, which specialized in coastal residential home designs. His love for design was inherited by his son Michael, who worked alongside him in the family business for almost 30 years. Herb loved spending time with his family, doing projects around his house, watching sports, and taking leisurely drives with his wife Pat in one of his beloved cars. He will be deeply missed by his devoted family.
Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, April 29th from 4-7 pm at Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly, R.I.
Funeral services will be held privately by the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Herb's name to the American Parkinson's Disease Association.

Mr. Arnold designed my home back in the early 90´s. I so enjoyed my many conversations with him. My father, Art Ahern, worked with him on many projects during their careers and he held Mr. Arnold in the highest regard, and I did too. My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.

I am so sad to hear about Herb passing away. I worked with Herb and Mike back in the 1980´s in his Design Group. We always had a great time working together, either in the office or while onsite. He taught me a lot about design while there. My condolences to Pat and all of his family.

Our sincere condolences on Herb's passing, he designed our first home for us back in 1986 and I loved to meet him downtown at car shows with his beautifully restored truck. His designs dot the shorelines of RI and CT and he left a wonderful impression on many.
