Herbert J. Breuer

Herbert J. Breuer passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the age of 89. He was born May 4, 1936 to the late Elizabeth (nee Schuh) and Edwin Breuer.
He was united in marriage to Carol Holl on July 20, 1963 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Richfield. The couple later moved to West Bend where Herbert worked at the West Bend Company until his retirement in 1998 after more than 40 years of employment.
Survivors include 4 children Lynn (Karl) Thornton, Brian (Margaret) Breuer, Brad Breuer and Brant (Sarah) Breuer; 7 grandchildren: Zachary (Hope), Megan (Andrew), Brian, Jr. and Cole, Brooke (Robert), Elizabeth and Lydia; 2 sisters Anna Klumpyan and Edna Steger; 4 sisters-in-law Holly Langenecker, Rita Holl, Kathleen Holl and Laurie Holl; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years Carol on October 14, 2018, many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Herb loved tending to his vegetable garden and reading the local newspaper. He was happy to play a round of cribbage or kings corner with his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their musical performances and sporting events. He was always ready to jump in his grandson's truck to head up north and go fishing or four-wheeling. Herb was looking forward to being a great-grandfather.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 13 at Holy Angels Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Matthias Cemetery in New Fane.
Masses or memorials to the charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
