Herbert Chelette Obituary
Mr. Chelette, 75, of Montgomery, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at The Oaks Care Center, Pineville, LA.
Herbert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He also had a special place in his heart for his dog "Mater." He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with the company of his buddies. He loved tv westerns, good music, and a cold beer. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Chelette; one daughter, Amber Ballard; his parents, Herbert and Evelyn Chelette; and one sister, Jeanette Givens.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty-one years, Rosie Chelette of Montgomery; two daughters, Melissa Ballard of Montgomery, and Heather Chelette of Montgomery; one sister, Linda Cox of Montgomery; ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at the United Pentecostal Church of Montgomery, on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Hunter Ballard, Matt Arledge, Ethan Mansfield, Jaron Purdum, Kirby Ballard, and Paul David Cobb. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler West and Noah Ballard.
