Herbert Cline Obituary
Herbert James Cline, 93, of Heatherwood Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at his home.
Born on May 14, 1931 in Panther, WV. He was a son of the late Rev. Andy and Lilly Belle Blankenship Cline. He was a veteran of the US Army and had been a resident of Bluefield since 1976. He was a retired mechanic for US Steel with 39 years and was a proud member of the UMWA. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, David J. Cline.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Helen Louise Shirley Cline of the home; his special feathered companion Monkey a Quaker parakeet of the home; daughter, Ramona C. (Michael) Bradshaw of Tazewell, VA; sons, James E. (Christine) Bluefield, WV, and Kevin T. (Kristin) of Greer, SC; a granddaughter, Ann Cline of FL and a grandson, Michael (Jennifer) Cline of OK.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with his grandson, Michael T. Cline officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Compassus of Princeton, WV. Compassus.com
