Herbert Hoover Conner, Jr., age 69, passed away on November 9, 2025. He was born on June 13, 1956, in Birmingham, Alabama, to his loving parents, the late Herbert Hoover, Sr., and Maggie Conner.

Beloved father of Tanika Blunt, Tamar Smith, Jonathan Smith, Herbert Smith, André Conner, Andrea Conner, Anthony Conner, Tina Conner, Terrell Conner (deceased), Keith Jackson, Gene Jackson, Crystal Jackson, Christon Jackson, and Jerrell Conner. Cherished grandfather and great-grandfather to many. Dear brother of Lisa Castro (Wayne), Debra Mills (deceased), Catherine Cunningham (deceased), Carl Jack Woodson (deceased), and Roger Woodson. Treasured uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.

Herbert had a strong and lively spirit. He loved boxing, cowboy shows, and karate movies, and enjoyed staying active by working out. He also had a deep affection for dogs and found joy in their loyal companionship. Herbert will be remembered for his strength, his love of life, and the many ways he touched the hearts of those who knew him.
